Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Christine J. Attew is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner recognized for her compassion, empathy, and dedication to patient care. She provides psychiatric assessments and medication management to treat a broad range of mental health conditions, and has extensive experience with diverse populations and across all stages of life. Together with her patients, Christine develops individualized plans designed to restore control and foster resilience. Her approach is holistic, focusing on the mind, body, and spirit, not just symptoms — using personalized, evidence-based treatment.

Christine is deeply committed to guiding individuals toward their fullest potential and strives to create a safe, welcoming environment where patients feel truly heard and empowered on their healing journey. She understands the barriers posed by stigma and the importance of finding meaningful support. She acknowledges the profound impact mental health has on every aspect of life and honors the courage it takes to seek help. 

Outside of her professional life, Christine finds joy in traveling, spending time at the beach, hiking, and cherishing moments with her grandchildren.

Education & Experience

Christine earned her Master’s of Nursing in Education and Leadership, as well as a Post-Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health, from Vanguard University in Costa Mesa. She is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. 

With over 24 years of nursing experience, Christine has served in a variety of roles including emergency room nurse, educator, and clinical coordinator in hospitals throughout Southern California. She is an active member of the American Nurses Association and is committed to ongoing professional development to ensure her practice reflects the latest in evidence-based psychiatric care.
