Registered Psychological Associate

Dr. Sarah Alkrisat is a Doctor of Clinical Psychology with a specialty in Health Psychology. She approaches care through a biopsychosocial lens, honoring the deep connection between mind, body, and spirit. Dr. Alkrisat believes that healing is most sustainable when psychological, medical, cultural, relational, and spiritual factors are understood together, allowing each person to be seen as more than a diagnosis. Her therapeutic work integrates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and health-informed interventions.

Dr. Alkrisat prioritizes a collaborative, warm, and grounded presence to therapy, emphasizing curiosity and empowerment of the individual’s lived experience. She has extensive experience working within interdisciplinary medical teams and values integrated care models that foster communication between behavioral health and medical providers to support truly patient-centered care. Her clinical interests include chronic and acute medical conditions, mood and anxiety disorders, health-related anxiety, adjustment to illness, chronic pain, insomnia, bariatric psychology, neurodevelopmental and neurological conditions, maternal and postpartum mental health, and trauma. She frequently supports individuals navigating major life transitions and the psychosocial demands that arise during periods of change, illness, or uncertainty.

Dr. Alkrisat works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and medical backgrounds. She is especially passionate about supporting individuals as they navigate shifts in health, identity, and caregiving roles. She views wellness as a dynamic and non-linear journey, helping patients cultivate resilience, meaning, and self-compassion alongside symptom relief.
