Brian Harpst offers compassion, curiosity, and collaboration through generative therapeutic conversations. As a relational-narrative therapist, he has a passion for helping individuals navigate their personal journeys. Brian’s therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that every individual has a personal relationship with their experiences, including the difficulties that lead them to seek support. He values the rich tapestry of each client’s life and strives to create a safe, trusting environment where they can explore their thoughts and feelings without judgment.

Drawing from his background in narrative therapy, Brian engages clients in collaborative conversations that honor their perspectives. Education & Experience

Brian Harpst earned his master’s degree in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University in 2018, where he cultivated a strong foundation in therapeutic practices. During his training, he gained invaluable experience working with clients at the Pepperdine Community Counseling Center, where he honed his skills in narrative therapy. Committed to deepening his expertise, Brian participated in a specialized training program focused on narrative therapy and obtained certification from the Vancouver School of Narrative Therapy.

With a growing interest in mindfulness, meditation, and acceptance therapies, Brian integrates these practices into his sessions, offering clients additional tools for self-discovery and emotional well-being. He works with a broad spectrum of clients aged 14 and older, providing individual, couples, and family therapy. Brian’s diverse background and compassionate approach empower clients to navigate their journeys with confidence and clarity, making meaningful strides toward their goals, depression, trauma, postpartum and parenting struggles, relationship distress, life transitions, and spiritual issues.
